"Your danger and mine is not that we become criminals, but rather that we become respectable, decent, commonplace, mediocre Christians. The twentieth-century temptations that really sap our spiritual power are the television, banana cream pie, the easy chair and the credit card. The Christian wins or loses in those seemingly innocent little moments of decision.
Lord, make my life a miracle!"

brilliant!
I love that quote! How true!
It's quite plain what we really worship, comfort and material stuff. When we worship anything other than Christ alone, we are then neutralized.
Ray, Thank you for this quote and for your blog. I read your father's work years ago with profit; I could say the same for your mother's work, as well. It is plain to see that "the apple does not fall far from the tree."
Your blog is encouraging, eclectic and edifying; as well as many other good things. Thanks for giving us a "little something good" each day, and keep on keeping on!
That's awesome.
